Rockstar Front-end Web Developer Wanted for Discovery Engine Startup

YourVersion, a Palo Alto startup building the world’s best discovery engine, seeks a rockstar front-end web developer proficient in JavaScript/AJAX, XHTML, and CSS. You will be a key member of a small, high-horsepower team with significant experience building successful large-scale consumer sites. Currently in private beta, YourVersion gives customers the best way to discover and share personalized, relevant web content related to their interests.

Responsibilities
-Create a great product that our customers love
-Work directly with CEO to design features that help users discover great content
-Work with PHP/MySQL developers to deliver functionality
-Ensure features are compelling, easy to use, and follow good UI design principles
-Ensure features work properly across A-grade browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari)

Requirements
-At least 3 years coding customer-facing features
-Experience developing for large-scale consumer websites
-Proven experience writing cross-browser, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS
-Proficient with JavaScript, AJAX, DOM, JSON, and XML
-Experience with Prototype, Scriptaculous, YUI, or equivalent frameworks
-Thrive in fast-paced environments with quick iterations
-Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
-Go-getter: you figure out what needs to be done vs. having to be told
-Can see the big picture but also zoom down into details
-Proficiency using Subversion (SVN)
-BS in Computer Science, Graphic Design or equivalent

Bonus points for
-Startup experience
-Passion for the discovery/recommendation engine space
-Strong Fireworks, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator skills
-Strong UI design skills
-Experience developing Firefox extensions (XUL)
