We are the original executive board members of Silicon Valley Webguild, a local chapter of Association of Internet Professionals (AIP) in the bay area. Webguild is the oldest and largest web organization in the bay area, starting around 1996. Many board members left Webguild as we didn't agree with the new Webguild leadership and financial model. The lack of membership support and restricted degree of open discussion at board level were major issues.

We feel it is necessary to form a Web group to stay current with web trends, to openly discuss web technology with leading experts, to build professional network that enhance career, and to exchange ideas and information among professionals.


We have received many member requests from the past year. Thank you for all of your support and we are listening.
