Graphics on the Web: Going Beyond Images and Rectangles by Vladimir Vukicevic
Over the past few years, browser innovation has proceeded at a fever pitch. As a result, the open web has many capabilities that were not possible even a few years ago, all available in a standards-compliant and cross-platform way. In this presentation, we'll look at some of the recently available capabilities, as well as provide a look at features that are currently being worked on. We'll also examine efforts to get 3D capabilities into the browser, and talk about some of the core improvements in browser technologies that are making this possible.
