The Risk Operations Specialist will play a critical role in mitigating Google’s financial risk. The core responsibilities of the Risk Operations Specialist will be largely focused around protecting Google and its partners from various forms of risk and fraud by reviewing transactions and accounts. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to help develop our risk management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fraud investigations including: reviewing accounts and transactions, detecting fraud trends, and summarizing key findings.
• Ensure integrity and validity of financial transactions by verifying customer identities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to enhance risk management tools and system functionality.
• Design rules and operations processes to minimize financial exposure.
• Provide support to external parties via email and phone within designated service levels.
• Assist in training new hires as applicable.
• Opportunities to work on special projects as necessary.
  

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BA/BS required.
• 2-3 years experience in risk management or finance including: audit, billing, chargeback representation, compliance, or fraud investigation.
• Hard working, detail-oriented, and well organized.
• Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of projects.
• Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Flexible work schedule, some weekends included.

Other key experiences should include a broad range of e-learning solutions and authoring tools such as Dreamweaver, Lectura, Flash, etc., practical knowledge in a variety of learning channels, and strong project management skills. Appropriate academic background (Masters preferred), and professional certifications will be required. Experience with Six Sigma and in financial services industry will be big plusses.
